“Bubbly and warm, Dublin woman Jennifer Muldowney has added color, glamour and even humor to the funeral industry. “
Jennifer Muldowney is the event planner for memorials in the United States of America and Ireland.
Born in Dublin, Ireland, Jennifer Muldowney went to college in Dublin City University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree. She furthered her education with a Wedding Planning Certificate and PRII-accredited post-graduate diplomas in Public Relations, Event Management, and Digital Communications, and an MIT-accredited professional certification in Applied Generative AI for Digital Transformation. She splits her time mostly between the offices in NYC and Dublin and loves it. Both cities are home!
She has experienced loss, no more than any other but it was this, coupled with her skills and experience that prompted her to create Farewell Funeral Planners in Ireland in 2010 which later evolved into Muldowney Memorials based in New York City. She has been in the Funeral Industry for over 15 years and is a published author on the subject. Her first book - SAY FAREWELL, YOUR WAY is in Irish stores and on Amazon and Barnes & Noble's bookstores. She previously partnered with renowned funeral home ‘Frank E. Campbell - The Funeral Chapel’ in NYC for 5 years and created their ‘offsite’ Memorial program which continues to this day. In 2016 she wowed on stage in her thought-provoking TEDx Talk called Grief: As Unique as your Heartbeat. She has become the house facilitator of the New York State Funeral Directors Association Annual Remembrance Service officiating it for the last 4 years. She sits on the board of Funeral Professionals Peer Support which is a non-profit that provides peer-based mental wellness support to bereavement professionals worldwide.
Regularly featuring in the media in all forms, Jennifer is happy to speak with groups both small and large about funerals and funeral planning. She is focused on Personalised Planning, Digital Legacy, and the Environment within the funeral space.
Jennifer is a trained, experienced, and modern Memorial Planner, Celebrant/Master of Ceremonies, and positive advocate of the funeral profession.
